Poem Number 8 for NaPoWriMo. I’m not following the optional prompt today, I had to get this one out of my head and onto paper. Thanks for reading 🙂
Glimmering
Tiny leaves of green or purple
so young and new in April light
that shines right through them
coating the grey-brown bark of cherry blossom
or its darker cousin plum
in exquisite luminescence
that is the magic of hope,
the magic of rebirth.
