The challenge is to write a 100 word story inspired in some way by the photo prompt which this week comes courtesy of the Friday Fictioneers group host Rochelle Wisoff-Fields/
“So, like, d’ya play music or something?” she asked.
Adrian knew he should try to remember her name but his brain hurt too much to be disturbed.
“Look, I em, have to work,” he said. “I’ll call a taxi for you.”
Where the hell had he picked her up anyway?
When she left Adrian sat at the piano, his fingers in free flow as tears rolled down his cheeks. He knew he had to face the fact that when the 3a.m. loneliness gnawed, it was a man he wanted.
He knew, but knowing was scary as hell.
